Creel style woven leather shoulder bag by Walter Katten, circa mid 1980s vintage.
Leather is dark brown with a subtle pewter metallic overglaze, flap closure with hidden snap and polished horn detail.
The fixed length shoulder strap is four strands of braided leather, with a bit more of a metallic pewter finish than the body of the bag.
The interior is lined in black faille fabric, with a zippered pocket and "Walter Katten, made in Italy" plaque on the inner back wall.
Condition is excellent, spotless inside and out. A couple of very light surface nicks to various leather strips here and there- nothing major.
A spectacular vintage bag from a hard to find designer- this is an absolute classic!
