Stunning ivory silk satin bias cut Art Deco wedding gown,  circa early 1930s vintage. Wide- set V neckline with double layer lace collar, points at back. Shimmies over the head with 19 satin buttons and corresponding loops up the upper back. Full upper sleeves with lace panelling- same lace as the collar with soutache detail, but a single layer. Lace panels taper to the mid arm and end in points, sleeves do the same; ending in points atop the hands.

V front and back bolide with gathered bust line.Bias cut skirt flows to fullness at hem. Beautiful sheen and drape to the mid weight silk satin. No labels- a fair amount of hand finishing. Wonderfully constructed. 

Condition is very, very good. Minimal snagging and signs of handling. Seams are tight and solid. Lace is in excellent condition. with the following issues:

-Two buttons per cuff, the left side is missing one of the two. Buttons may have been moved at some point. Sleeves (from about elbow bend to wrists) were tacked in/ tapered at some point and later let out, there is some evidence of this upon close inspection.

-A few light (tonal off white) on the front and left side upper to mid skirt- see photos.

This amazing vintage Deco era dress has held up beautifully. Modestly cut, and very romantic without being overly frilly- a really spectacular piece!

16" armpit to armpit, so 32" chest circumference, but a 33"- 35" (maximum) bust should be fine given the bias and front gathers

27" upper waist (measured across the low bodice points at side seams)

for handy reference- the mannequin shown is 32.5" at the chest, 24" at the waist and 35" at the hips- and would stand 5'9" if "she" had a head. Dress is not pinned.
