vintage 1980s skirt black Ted Lapidus rayon velvet skirt 36 / XS
Textured rayon velvet skirt, Ted Lapidus Boutique Haute Couture label, marked size 36 (about a modern US 2- 4).
Circa 1980s vintage, made in France.
Banded waist with sublte front darting and left front slash pocket (hidden on seam).
Button closure up the back right outer side, there are four buttons covered in black satin.
Long overlap side slit from just below the bottom button to the hem.
Three back pleats from about lower button height to the hem for a bit of subtle fullness through the back.
Falls to below the knees.
Content is 63% viscose/ rayon, 37% cupro/ rayon, lined in 100% acetate.
Condition is excellent, if not flawless- this skirt is pure elegance!

37.5" hips
approximately 44" hem circumference (back pleats tend to open up a bit)
29.5" length
